Frequently Asked Questions
MedEQ is an interactive clinical education platform that helps healthcare professionals turn new evidence into confident, patient-centered care. In realistic clinical scenarios, you interview patients, order diagnostic workups, make prescribing decisions, and receive personalized feedback grounded in FDA-approved prescribing information, clinical recommendations, and safety considerations.
MedEQ is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Its clinically focused content assumes a working knowledge of pharmacology and patient care.
Many CE programs test recall after passive learning. MedEQ lets you practice the clinical sequence itself: what you ask, what you order, how you assess risk, and when you prescribe. Feedback connects each decision to the prescribing information and the patient in front of you.
Every scenario is grounded in FDA-approved information, with source citations included in the debrief. Board-certified physicians review all clinical content before publication.
MedEQ uses AI to produce some clinical content and a board-certified clinician reviews everything we publish for accuracy.
For overview videos, a board-certified clinician approves and narrates the script, and the presenter on screen is an AI video avatar modeled on our founder, Dr. Dara Udo.
Podcasts begin with AI-driven research and a first draft, which a board-certified clinician then reviews for accuracy. Some episodes use AI voices to read the finished script, which keeps us publishing on schedule.
For clinical case scenarios, patient profiles are AI-generated and reviewed by a board-certified clinician. The simulated dialogue and the text-to-speech during each simulation are also AI-generated.
No. Scenarios are created from FDA-approved prescribing information and input from our clinical advisory board to reflect realistic presentations. MedEQ does not use real patient data.
We develop scenarios around new approvals, changes in clinical guidance, and identified public health needs. New content is added regularly to support relevant, ongoing professional development.
The peer forum gives healthcare professionals a place to share clinical insights, practical advice, and feedback. These conversations can also help MedEQ identify opportunities to strengthen future learning experiences.

Most scenarios take 5–10 minutes, including the patient encounter, diagnostic workup, prescribing decision, and debrief.
The scenario responds to your decision, and the debrief explains the relevant risk, where the signal appeared in the encounter, and what the prescribing information says. Every choice becomes a teaching moment, not a failure.
As often as you like. Repeating a scenario can reinforce essential prescribing knowledge, let you explore different choices, and build confidence through practice.
MedEQ runs in a modern browser on desktop, tablet, or phone. No app installation is required.
Pricing has not been finalized during MVP development. Our current focus is validating the scenario experience, the quality of the feedback and debrief, and the content-authoring workflow.
Institutional licensing is part of the planned offering for residency programs, health systems, pharmacy schools, and other clinical organizations. Sign up for early access or to discuss a pilot.
